Hygiene – Personal

  • Alcohol-based Hand Sanitiser and Alcohol/Antibacterial Wipes will be supplied and used by all Jitterbugs employees.
  • All Jitterbugs employees will wash their hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitiser prior to, during and after the Jitterbugs Dance Party and before entering and after leaving your home or party venue.
  • All Jitterbugs employees have been educated and trained on the importance of good hygiene practice as per the Australian Government Department of Health guidelines. This includes but is not limited to the importance of handwashing, when your hands should be washed and the importance of covering coughs and sneezes with your elbow or tissue.
  • Face Masks will be worn on site by all Jitterbugs staff members, subject to the current Victorian State Government regulations and/or the party venue requirements.
  • All Jitterbugs employees have been informed about the importance of not touching any surfaces or objects within your home or party venue that is not necessary.
  • All Jitterbugs employees will complete the free COVID-19 Infection Control Training from the Department of Health, prior to your Jitterbugs Dance Party.
  • If there are any further requirements that have been implemented within your home or the venue that the party is being held, to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, all Jitterbugs staff will adhere to those regulations as instructed.

Hygiene – Props

  • All Props will be cleaned and sanitised with alcohol/antibacterial wipes, hot soapy water or washed in the washing machine – depending on the prop prior to and after your Jitterbugs Dance Party
  • All music and equipment will be cleaned and sanitised with alcohol/antibacterial wipes before entering your home/party venue, including mobile phone and portable speaker, and again upon leaving your home/party venue.
  • Some props may not be available for use at parties at this time. If you have any special requests, please check with us prior to your party.
  • When applying tattoos and glitter to the party guests, disposable gloves may be worn to limit contact. Single use disposable wipes and cotton buds will be used when applying temporary tattoos and glitter.

Physical Distancing

  • Jitterbugs employees will ensure they maintain 1.5m physical distance from adults at the party and where possible, use discretion to encourage social distancing amongst the birthday child and party guests.
  • Where action songs ask children to hold hands or have close contact with each other, an alternate action will try to be used. All songs that are not appropriate regarding best hygiene practice will be excluded from the Jitterbugs playlist at this time.

Health & Safety

  • All Jitterbugs employees will Check-In using the QR Code system upon their arrival at party venues.
  • If the Jitterbugs facilitator is feeling unwell, displaying any cold or flu like symptoms, or has been in close contact with a person who has suspected Covid-19, you will be notified and an alternate party host will be organised.
  • If the Jitterbugs facilitator has been in contact with someone infected with Covid-19 or they have received confirmation that they have tested positive to Covid-19, you will be notified and an alternate party host will be organised.

How Can You Help?

  • We ask that all guests wash or sanitise their hands upon arrival at the party and throughout the party if required.
  • Have separately named drink bottles for each child.
  • Having a record of all those attending the party, names and contact numbers is highly recommended.
  • Inform guests to stay at home if they are feeling unwell.
